| Honorary Memberships, according to the Rules of the Institute, were to be awarded to distinguished non-practicing architects and to distinguished persons who may be in the field of Art or Science; however, it has long been the practice to award the Honorary Membership status to practicing architects and distinguished persons who have contributed to the field of architecture both in the national and international arena. Notably accepted for revisions to the Rules of The Institute in November 2007: Honorary Members may be practicing architects and individuals who have contributed exceptionally to the field of Architecture locally, in the CARICOM/CSME region and internationally. |
